A very real part of our life
here at St. John Vianney Parish is learning more about our relationship with God
and growing closer to Him. In turn, we share and celebrate our faith with those
around us.
To assist you, your family and friends in this faith journey,
the people of the parish invite you to participate in our various
Religious Education Programs.
ELEMENTARY EDUCATION:
CONFIRMATION I & II:
Instruction for Confirmation, a two year process, classes are held on Sunday
mornings during the school year, generally starts in 9th grade depending on
the maturity and disposition of the student.
SPECIAL SACRAMENTS CLASS:
Sacramental preparation for students past 2nd
grade who have not yet received First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist.
R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initiation for
Adults)
The process of welcoming, instructing and initiating a person into the Church.
For adults who are not baptized, baptized in another faith and want to become
Catholic, or Catholics who have not completed their initiation, i.e., have not
received First Eucharist or Confirmation. Classes meet weekly.
ADULT ENRICHMENT
Various lectures, workshops and meetings to
stimulate, encourage and enhance adult spiritual growth. Also several family
evenings are offered for family growth, as well as Bible Study Programs. Check
bulletin for announcements of activities.
